About the book

I am pleased to offer this web site as a supplement to my time series book.  The book contains materials that I taught in my class, which my students of the past 25 years enjoyed very much and found very helpful for their careers.  Several recent students became part-time undergraduate research assistants after taking the class and helped translate to fpp3 or edited some of the original R programs for the book. Their names are Sara Tyo (March-June 2023), Shiqi Liang (March-June 2022) and Karina Nolasco (April-May 2022). William Foote (March-June 2021) and  Luan (Leroy) Le (March-June 2021), also part-time undergraduate research assistants,  assisted with those tasks. I was able to hire them all with research funds provided by the Department of Statistics and Data Science, for which I am most grateful. Alberto Candel's suggestions and help with the Latex images, together with his continuous encouragement and support were instrumental in keeping this project going despite the pandemic interruptions. The editorial assistance of Cambridge University Press' editorial team improved the book considerably. If there are any errors or mistakes they are only mine. This website will alert the reader if any are found and corrections will be posted.

I hope you will visit my blog for continuous updates of what practitioners are saying and for new exercises and activities.
